The Flathead Valley lies in wait for you!  The Flathead Special Education Cooperative, home to the Flathead Valley is seeking a full time SLP candidate or SLPA.

 

The Flathead Valley is home to Glacier National Park, Big Mountain Whitefish Ski Resort and Flathead Lake with an abundance of outdoor recreational activities year-round!

 

Seeking FTE 1.0 Speech & Language Pathologist or in the process of obtaining a CFY, SLPA’s and Level II Assistants are welcome to apply. The local community has much to offer and strongly supports the education system. 

 

Assigned to rural school districts

 

Salary:  DOE

Date: ASAP for fall of 20/21 school year

  • Position Needed: Related Services Personnel; Speech & Language Pathologist, CFY or SLPA

  • The position must be able to work with minimal supervision, work efficiently and in an organized manner. It is an itinerant position that requires meeting the needs of students in more than one location.

Areas of Job Accountability:

  1. Licensed Speech Pathologist or in the process of obtaining MT license (CCC, CFY or SLPA with experience)

  2. Must demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation and organization to be a self-starter with strong initiative, knowledge and love of working with children (PreK-8),

  3. Demonstrate the ability to work with a team including parents, teachers, administrators and other related service personnel within school settings, integrating speech pathology therapies into classrooms and school environments, knowledge of the referral process, electronic documents, Special Education documents, progress notes and Medicaid billing

  4. Provide therapies to students individually or group as followed in each individual education plan using prevention, intervention and remediation of Speech services for student caseload

  5. Conduct screenings, evaluations, write reports, goals and objectives for individual students, provide information, support, and consultation to teachers, parents and families when appropriate.

  6. Participates in on-going professional development opportunities

  7. MT Driver’s license
